Sustainability – Quality, Environment and Safety
Quality and Safety
Our quality and safety assurance system is continuously updated to be above or on par with the legislation and the specific demands from the environment in which our client operates. At Torkapparater we take pride in our quality, safety and environmental standards. The quality system is based on the ISO-certification 9002, however the level of standard in the Torkapparater quality manuals often go beyond the rules regulated by ISO 9002 in order to meet the high requirements and regulations from our clients and the environment our equipment operate in.
Our clients use different energy supplies e.g., steam, natural gas, and fuel oil. Thus, the regulations that our equipment has to comply with are often much more tough than the underlying manufacturing industries themselves.
Torkapparater equipment and processes are guided, among other’s, by the following directives:
- CE-marking to the EU machine directive
- The EU Pressurize Equipment Directive (PED)
- Material and Manufacturing Certificates from third party inspection authorities
Our Sustainability and Environmental Policy
Torkapparater has always strived for being at the forefront of bringing environmental friendly techniques to the processes in which the Torkapparater equipment is being used. Our techniques contribute to a sustainable society by developing systems that take advantage of the circularity of resources in the environment. We continuously aim to develop sustainable solutions for the society as a whole and long-term viable use of natural resources.
Together with our clients we are committed to develop the best solution that also take into considerations strong environmental goals and minimising impact on the environment. Torkapparater actively develops techniques and processes that brings solution to the environmental challenges e.g., drying of Bio-mass, cleaning of contaminated soils, and recovery of PVC plastics. Torkapparater aims to take a long-term sustainable perspective of the use and circularity of our natural resources.
Our commitment to Safety minimizes damages
All our equipment is built with the aim of minimising the risk of damage to people and property. We always carry out a so-called HAZOP analysis to go through any risks associated with the process and the potential risks and their consequences. With the right system solution, interlocks and surveillance systems, many risks are minimized or avoided. Contact us if you are interested and want to know more about our safety.
